Design & Meditation recounts a deeply personal and empathetic journey towards discovering a space to savour the joys of life and nurture the essence of wellbeing. Alessandro Caruso’s odyssey is a meditative voyage, rooted in the resilience cultivated through the principles of yoga and Eastern philosophies. Along his path, the author emerged as the guiding force of a devoted team dedicated to enriching lives through subtle yet profound methods. This is his story.
Alex is an architect and co-founder of Alessandro Caruso Architecture and Interiors Ltd, an award-winning Practice based in Beverley, United Kingdom.
Being fluent in three languages and having gained over 25 years of professional experience in design across England, Spain and his native Italy, Alex understands the importance of establishing clear communication from the earliest sketches. Adopting three-dimensional technologies to translate client requirements into a design accessible to a much wider audience, his mission is to improve people’s well-being through sustainable design.
Alex views design as a “lifelong learning” journey, constantly presenting new opportunities for form to follow function while engaging the senses. He draws inspiration from his studies and his
extensive global network of contacts.
Alex is a RIBA Client Advisor who firmly believes in sharing knowledge and best practices to support clinical delivery. He frequently delivers speeches and presents lessons derived from his completed projects at conferences, conventions, colleges and universities.
He lives in the United Kingdom, where he conducts most of his design studies and observations, capturing them in writings and conference talks.
